The Clinical Dietitian I plays a vital role in providing age-appropriate nutrition care with a focus on family-centered care. As a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, this individual will serve as a resource for medical and nursing staff, ancillary team members, and community providers.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize clinical practice and knowledge of pediatric nutrition, the nutrition care process, and medical nutrition therapy to provide evidence-based nutrition care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of nutrition care plans that meet the unique needs of pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in pediatric nutrition to provide the highest level of care.
- Completion of a minimum of twelve (12) weeks Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics accredited dietetic internship in an acute care setting.
- One year of clinical nutrition experience, with a preference for pediatric experience.
- Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Dietetics or Nutrition-related field from an accredited university.
- Successful completion of the registration exam to become a Registered Dietitian within 45 days of hire.
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- California Children's Services (CCS) paneled.
The Clinical Dietitian I will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on providing exceptional care to pediatric patients. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
