Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based nutrition care to pediatric patients, utilizing clinical practice and knowledge of pediatric nutrition, the nutrition care process, and medical nutrition therapy.
  • Collaborate with the medical and nursing staff, ancillary team members, and community providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in pediatric nutrition, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a minimum of twelve (12) weeks Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics accredited dietetic internship in an acute care setting.
  • Successful completion of the registration exam to become a Registered Dietitian within 45 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of and ability to provide appropriate family-centered patient care based upon age appropriateness and cultural needs.
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills, with the ability to care with sensitivity and respect.
