Job Title: Controller

Outer Cape Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning, budgeting, and reporting functions of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws, including those related to grants management and financial reporting.
  • Manage the accounting department and provide guidance and support to staff members.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Strategy Officer and other senior leaders to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's mission and goals.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions and strategic planning.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of experience in financial management, including experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and grants management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and laws, including those related to grants management and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, staff members, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
