Assistant Maintenance Manager Job Description

RPM Living is seeking a skilled Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Emergency Response: Coordinate and respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Complete maintenance tasks and work orders within 24-48 hours, updating records in our computer system.
  • Communication: Document all maintenance activities and communicate clearly with residents, team members, and supervisors, providing status updates and explanations of ongoing work.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and proficiently repair a variety of issues, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and exterior maintenance.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct proactive preventive maintenance activities to avoid potential issues and uphold the quality of our properties.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies, including OSHA regulations and safety/environmental laws.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with maintenance team members, other departments, and external contractors to ensure seamless property maintenance, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: One year of multifamily maintenance experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Certifications: EPA certification required; CPO preferred.
  • Skills: Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite; valid driver's license required.
