Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist at Sentara Healthcare, you will conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, positioning them for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operating radiation producing equipment, and preparing patient rooms/equipment/medications. Phlebotomy competency may be required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic imaging studies of patients
  • Position patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology
  • Operate radiation producing equipment
  • Prepare patient rooms/equipment/medications
  • May require phlebotomy competency for certain sites

Requirements:

  • Registry eligible graduate in lieu of ARRT
  • Must obtain ARRT registry within 180 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems
