Job Description
Are you a current or former law enforcement officer, military personnel, or a recent graduate from a police academy seeking a flexible side opportunity?
This part-time position offers flexible scheduling based on event timelines, with a competitive pay rate of $25.00 per hour.
As an Event Security Response Officer, you will be part of a team providing incident response at client venues for various events. Your duties may involve patrolling on foot, by bicycle, or using a motorized vehicle, depending on the venue and specific deployment needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct security patrols in designated areas during special events, either on foot or in a vehicle.
- Monitor for unusual conditions that may pose security or safety risks.
- Alert authorities in case of emergencies or unauthorized individuals.
- Address rule violations, such as disruptive behavior or prohibited items.
- Grant access to authorized personnel in restricted areas and oversee entrances and exits.
- Observe departing individuals to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
- Respond to incidents as directed by clients, management, and law enforcement.
- Collaborate with law enforcement as needed and provide support as requested.
- Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain required logs.
- Assist customers, employees, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
- Make necessary emergency notifications as outlined in site Post Orders.
- Provide recommendations to management regarding productivity and safety.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Licensing requirements may vary based on state and local laws and may be necessary prior to employment.
- Candidates must possess one or more of the following:
- Military service with a focus on law enforcement or security roles.
- Active or retired law enforcement status, including police, sheriff, federal, and state agents.
- Graduation from a Certified Public Safety Academy or relevant work experience in law enforcement or emergency response.
- Police Officer Standards Training (POST) Certification.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice, with prior military service preferred.
- Ability to operate communication equipment and console monitors.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in de-escalation techniques and critical thinking.
- Effective conflict mediation skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient computer skills.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- First aid training.
