Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct treatment services through both group and individual sessions, ensuring effective engagement with participants.
• Implement established program curricula, utilizing therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy.
• Facilitate daily interactions with participants, reinforcing program guidelines and encouraging active participation.
• Collaborate with participants to formulate and execute personalized treatment plans, while educating them on available support networks for reintegration into society.
• Monitor and document participant progress, noting any significant changes in behavior and demeanor.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential records of participant interactions and treatment outcomes.
• Prepare detailed reports that align with organizational standards and comply with relevant clinical regulations.
• Coordinate with transition staff to ensure seamless continuity of care and support for participants post-release.
• Provide mentorship to junior counselors, fostering professional development within the team.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with institutional staff and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Perform additional duties as required to support program objectives.

Qualifications:

• A Master's Degree in a relevant social service field, with appropriate licensure or registration.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a social service-related discipline, AOD certification, and a minimum of six months of relevant experience.
• An Associate's Degree in a related field, AOD certification, and at least one year of experience in substance use disorder treatment.
• More than two years of experience as a certified AOD Counselor, with relevant certifications.
