Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst I to join our team at Calvert County Government. As a key member of our Department of Technology Services, you will play a critical role in the analysis, design, and implementation of business application systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical applications work related to the identification, development, and life cycle support of business application systems.
  • Conduct systems analysis and design, programming, and/or solution identification, installation, configuration, database management, and system security for business applications software.
  • Translate business requirements into technical processes and system solutions aligned with Technology Services strategic plans and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate and lead the installation, testing, maintenance, and upgrades of software according to vendor procedures and department stakeholder needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for the Applications team.
  • Develop integrations as necessary between enterprise software, manipulate data, provide reports, and make information widely available to the general public or internal working groups.
  • Maintain and support relational databases used by the county's software solutions.
  • Coordinate and maintain business disaster recovery plans, including backup and recovery procedures with cognizant Department Head and Technology Services Teams.
  • Serve as a project resolution manager for end users' reported problems, working with internal Technology Services teams, Department contacts, and vendors to resolve these issues in a timely fashion.
  • Manage smaller system implementations and upgrades.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in applications software programming and support.
  • One of the following certifications is preferred: Sec+, Cloud+, ServiceNow CSA, ITIL, MTA, or an equivalent current industry certification.
