Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and accurately address the specific requirements of each repair order, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose issues and execute necessary repairs to restore vehicle functionality.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any safety concerns or recommended service work.
- Maintain clear documentation of all work performed on repair orders.
- Communicate effectively with the service manager regarding any additional work or adjustments needed.
- Perform road tests on vehicles as required to ensure proper operation.
- Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by the service manager.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as an Automotive Diesel Technician.
- Experience in an automotive dealership or similar setting.
- Certification in GM transmissions is essential.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent industry certification is necessary.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Possession of a personal toolbox is required, with specialty tools provided by the company.
- Proficiency in using standard mechanic shop tools.
- Physical capability to perform tasks associated with this role, including bending, lifting, and moving.
