We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center, where we provide high-quality care to patients in need. The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 based on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes benefits such as health insurance, retirement planning, and education assistance.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in our surgical progressive care unit, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Your duties will include:

  • Assessing patient condition during admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Performing procedures or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
  • Documenting the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Administering prescribed medications and monitoring patient response.
  • Maintaining knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A current RN license in the state of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
