About the Role

Kleinfelder is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team in Redmond, WA. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and regulations.
  • Monitor contractors and report results verbally and in writing.
  • Prepare clear and accurate detailed reports of testing and inspection activities and maintain work activity records.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve quality and safety issues.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of special inspection and/or construction materials testing experience.
  • Radiation safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge.
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1.
  • ICC Reinforced Concrete.
  • The Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction (WAQTC).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Washington DOT testing/inspection certifications.
  • ICC Special Inspector Certifications (Pre-stressed Concrete, Soil, Spray-applied Fireproofing, Structural Masonry, Structural Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting).
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - American Welding Society (AWS).
