Job Summary:

The Medical Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and auditing medical records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. This includes reviewing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and audit medical records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Identify and report any discrepancies or errors in medical documentation
  • Collaborate with medical providers and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or concerns
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to improve the accuracy and completeness of medical documentation
  • Provide training and education to medical providers and other staff members on quality assurance procedures and best practices
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in medical records or quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Ability to read and analyze medical records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Allied medical professional certification or relevant college or vocational training in the medical field
  • Experience working with medical providers and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and company standards related to medical documentation
