About the Role

Waymo is a pioneering autonomous driving technology company with a mission to revolutionize mobility and save lives. As a key member of our Hardware Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and perfecting the products that enable our autonomous driving technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement cross-sensor cloud-based manufacturing and test infrastructure.
  • Design, implement, and maintain radar embedded control systems for manufacturing, calibration, testing, and R&D prototyping.
  • Ensure software precision and reliability through advanced technologies and engineering best practices.
  • Conduct software testing and validation using simulation and advanced radar test chambers.
Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics (MS or PhD preferred for Math and Physics majors).
  • 5 years of experience in production code software development in a complex, multiple team environment.
  • Proficient in C++ and Python.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining automotive radars, cameras, or other sensors.
  • Experience in SerDes and sensor drivers.
  • Proficient in Python.
  • Experience in self-driving cars.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
What We Offer

Waymo employees are eligible to participate in our discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements. The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is $192,000 - $243,000 USD.
