We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Bus Monitor. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school.

About the Role:

The Bus Monitor will be responsible for:

• Providing operational oversight and day-to-day management of bus routes
• Assisting drivers in safe operation of routes
• Monitoring the welfare of passengers while in route
• Communicating behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver
• Assisting in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus
• Assisting students in the loading and unloading process
• Cooperating and communicating with school personnel, students, and parents
• Attending all safety and training meetings
• Conducting emergency evacuation from the bus, including use of exiting by emergency door
• Opening and closing service doors and moving up and down steps multiple times daily
• Cleaning the inside of the bus
• Assisting driver when necessary to safely direct the vehicle backwards

Requirements:

• Early morning availability
• Judgement/problem solving skills
• Ability to manage high degrees of stress
