The University of Virginia Health System is seeking a talented and experienced Telehealth Program Director to lead the strategic growth and innovation of our telehealth programs. This key role will provide leadership and oversight of our telehealth initiatives, ensuring they align with our organizational strategy and meet the evolving needs of our patients and stakeholders.

Job Summary:

The Telehealth Program Director will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans for telehealth program development and implementation, in collaboration with the Chief Information Officer and Medical Director of the Center for Telehealth.
  • Championing and analyzing telehealth program utilization, monitoring internal and external customer service, quality, stakeholder relations, financial goals, and objectives.
  • Coordinating the development, implementation, adoption, and revision of new or existing telehealth projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Working collaboratively with various stakeholders to accomplish goals, including Health IT Digital Transformation team and other technical teams.
  • Leading operational program support for new programs and projects, ensuring smooth integration between the Center for Telehealth and Health IT.
  • Facilitating multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups to develop, prioritize, and scale telehealth innovations and existing interventions.
  • Monitoring telehealth program data to assess performance, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to improve patient care and service delivery.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging telehealth trends, bringing this knowledge to our strategy and planning functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Business) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in healthcare, with 5 years in a leadership or management role; telehealth experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $146,859, based on national averages and industry standards.
