Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Insurance Professional to play a key role in the day-to-day management of our mid-sized to largest and most complex client accounts. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for building, expanding, and solidifying business relationships with existing and new clients, while also identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Play an essential role in business retention by building and expanding business relationships with existing and new clients.
- Determine risk requirements by analyzing coverages, exposures, and loss experience.
- Negotiate with underwriters and carriers to secure coverage for clients.
- Prepare and issue summaries of insurance, proposals, and binders of insurance.
- Answer customer questions regarding products and services.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional coverage to enhance client retention and relationship management.
- Provide marketing support to new business production and renewals.
- Handle day-to-day client inquiries and policy servicing.
- Act as the first point of contact to the Customer Services Assistants.
- Assist Agency Manager with interviewing, selecting, and training employees.
- Provide insurance consultation or expert advice and ideas to the Agency Manager.
- Attend client meetings as required.
- Stay up-to-date with insurance markets and changing coverages within the industry.
Requirements
- Florida 2-20 General Lines License in good standing.
- Three (3) years of commercial insurance industry experience.
- Insurance Designation such as AAI, CIC, CPCU or other certifications/designations highly valued.
- Knowledge of AMS360 considered an asset.
