Position Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design is on the lookout for a CAD Technician to enhance our team.


The CAD Technician will engage in a variety of design tasks, both in the field and at the desk, focusing on projects that encompass site assessments, field engineering, OSP design, encroachment permitting, and the CAD drafting of aerial, underground, and buried telecommunication systems.


Become a part of our Survey/Geospatial team, which provides a comprehensive suite of survey and geospatial data services that empower us to gather data more efficiently, safely, and accurately than ever before.

Utilize data collected from various sources, including aerial, terrestrial, and subsurface, to deliver precise data interpretation and accelerate your journey towards becoming a leader in the industry.


Key Responsibilities:
- Draft parcels or subdivision boundaries from legal descriptions using CAD methodologies (Civil 3D).

- Maintain proficient skills in AutoCAD; experience with platting is preferred (MicroStation knowledge is a plus).

- Conduct Topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, Boundary Surveys, As-built Surveys, etc.

- Interpret and plot legal descriptions accurately.

- Assist in drafting segments of routine projects under the guidance of the project surveyor.

- Comprehend surveying terminology effectively.

- Prepare a variety of survey-related products.

- Follow AutoCAD standards manual diligently.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's Degree or Certificate from a technical institution in AutoCAD is preferred.

- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

- Proficient in AutoCAD.

- Ability to collaborate within a team-oriented environment to successfully manage a high volume of projects while adhering to established budgets and timelines.

- Capable of reading, writing, and understanding English for effective communication regarding job-related tasks and instructions.
