About the Role

Nusano is a medical technology company that creates radioisotopes used to target and eliminate cancer cells with precision. We are seeking an IT/OT Systems Engineer II to play a critical role in shaping and maintaining the technological framework driving our technology processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and resilient IT systems that meet the unique needs of our energy/biotech projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the integration of IT and OT systems for optimal performance.
  • Manage and optimize the company's network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and good cybersecurity practices.
  • Implement and maintain communication protocols between IT and OT systems, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Work closely with other engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to integrate IT/OT systems into overall project frameworks.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Establish monitoring protocols for IT systems to proactively identify and address issues.
  • Support Nusano's global OT observability platform (Grafana).
  • Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure the reliability and performance of systems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT/OT interfaces, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 8+ years' experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT networks for a biotechnology and/or energy company.
  • Proficiency in network security, firewall administration, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of networking and systems integration.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
  • Familiarity with OT network principles.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, industrial control systems, and PLCs.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
