Per Diem CV MRI Tech Job Description

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Per Diem CV MRI Tech to join our team. As a Per Diem CV MRI Tech, you will be responsible for performing complex MRI procedures, reviewing and evaluating requisitions, and identifying patients according to hospital policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform congenital cardiac and complex MRI procedures without direct supervision.
  • Review and evaluate requisitions for MRI imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed.
  • Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers.
  • Select appropriate equipment and technical parameters to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
  • Assess patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patients' specific needs.
  • Explain the examination and answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Magnetic field environment.
  • Follow MR QC Exam/Data Integrity workflow expectations.
  • Practice High-Reliability Training.
  • Consistently provide exceptional care and exceptional service.
  • Respond to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions through the INeedit application.
Requirements:
  • Three years of working experience as an MRI Technologist.
  • Registered Rad Tech- MRI.
  • Associates Degree; Allied Health.
