The Outreach Team specializes in direct engagement initiatives aimed at empowering communities and influencing pivotal electoral outcomes.

We are currently on the lookout for Field Leadership Roles to support a significant campaign focused on voter registration efforts. We are hiring for a Lead Director and several Deputy Director positions.

Field Leaders will be responsible for recruiting, training, and overseeing a dedicated team of local canvassers to facilitate voter registration. The Lead Campaign Director will also supervise one or more Deputy Directors and will play a crucial role in establishing an operational office from the ground up. This position will report directly to the Project Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our recruitment team to identify and onboard community members as canvassers, ensuring they are equipped to assist individuals in accurately completing registration forms.
  • Oversee a team of canvassers, setting clear objectives and driving performance.
  • Implement safety measures, including providing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Develop a comprehensive database of effective voter registration locations, with a focus on engaging underrepresented communities. Coordinate canvassing sites and collaborate with partner organizations to maximize outreach efforts.
  • Participate in field activities several days a week to canvass, train staff, and contribute to achieving office goals through voter registration.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including collaborating with the HR Director on payroll, onboarding, and compliance matters.
Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a large team.
  • Willingness to lead by example and engage in canvassing activities regularly.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the capability to instill this quality in team members.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Deep commitment to community organizing and promoting civic engagement.
  • Demonstrated track record of advocating for equity and inclusion.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred:
  • 1-3+ years of experience managing paid canvassing initiatives or similar operations.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Familiarity with voter engagement tools.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is competitive, with opportunities for bonuses. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, health insurance, and practical training. There may also be potential for career advancement and additional bonuses at the conclusion of the campaign.
