Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team at ProCare Therapy. As a Virtual Sign Language Interpreter, you will play a crucial role in enhancing communication in online classrooms, creating an inclusive and supportive educational experience for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality sign language interpretation services in virtual K-12 classrooms
  • Utilize your American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency to facilitate effective communication between students and educators
  • Collaborate with educators to ensure seamless interpretation services
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and improve interpretation skills

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Sign Language Interpreter
  • Active Virginia State SLI License
  • Certification in Sign Language Interpretation (EIPA or RID, ESSE-I/R assessment, or NAD/ACCI assessment)
  • Previous school experience required; virtual interpreting experience highly preferred
