Pediatric Occupational Therapist Job Description

At Connecticut Children's, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with physical disabilities and functional limitations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs of pediatric patients and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Provide occupational therapy services to children in clinic, inpatient, outpatient, and outreach programs.
  • Collaborate with children, families, and healthcare team members to implement and coordinate a continuous plan of care.
  • Participate in staff development and research activities to stay up-to-date with best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric therapy, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • State of Connecticut Department of Public Health licensure in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
