Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Advanced Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our team in the Hyattsville, MD region. This full-time position (2-3 days/week) involves providing palliative care consults from Encompass Rehab Hospital and at Complete Care.
You will work under the supervision of a physician, applying medical techniques and principles to care for a diverse range of patients with chronic diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care to primary and palliative patients in and around Hyattsville County.
- Assess patients' health through physical examinations, medical histories, and creating personalized care plans.
- Effectively communicate with office staff and clinical operations across various internal platforms.
- Develop impressions, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Foster trust and consult with patients, families, and caregivers during visits.
- Order diagnostic testing as medically necessary.
- Prescribe medications, supplies, and interventions as needed.
We are looking for a Board Certified Advanced Provider with a valid NP or PA certification in Maryland. You should possess strong clinical skills, a positive demeanor, and excellent people skills. Experience in primary care, particularly with geriatric patients, is highly preferred.
