Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our team in the Hyattsville, MD region. This full-time position (2-3 days/week) involves providing palliative care consults from Encompass Rehab Hospital and at Complete Care.

You will work under the supervision of a physician, applying medical techniques and principles to care for a diverse range of patients with chronic diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality care to primary and palliative patients in and around Hyattsville County.
  2. Assess patients' health through physical examinations, medical histories, and creating personalized care plans.
  3. Effectively communicate with office staff and clinical operations across various internal platforms.
  4. Develop impressions, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  5. Foster trust and consult with patients, families, and caregivers during visits.
  6. Order diagnostic testing as medically necessary.
  7. Prescribe medications, supplies, and interventions as needed.
Requirements

We are looking for a Board Certified Advanced Provider with a valid NP or PA certification in Maryland. You should possess strong clinical skills, a positive demeanor, and excellent people skills. Experience in primary care, particularly with geriatric patients, is highly preferred.
