Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neuro-Oncologist to lead and develop our Neuro-Oncology program at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our Department of Neurology, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, supervising medical students and residents, and collaborating with general and subspecialty neurology colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Neuro-Oncology program, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with brain and spinal cord tumors.
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with Neuro-Oncology conditions, including brain and spinal cord tumors, and other related disorders.
  • Supervise and mentor medical students and residents in the Neuro-Oncology program, ensuring they receive high-quality education and training.
  • Collaborate with other neurology specialists to develop and implement treatment plans, and to stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in Neuro-Oncology.
  • Participate in academic and research activities, including publishing research papers, presenting at conferences, and contributing to the development of new treatments and therapies.
Requirements
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology and Neuro-Oncology.
  • Completion of a fellowship in Neuro-Oncology.
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to develop and implement programs and services.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
