Job Overview

At John W. Danforth Company, we're seeking a skilled VDC Piping Manager to join our team. As a key member of our VDC team, you'll be responsible for assigning projects, developing your team, and executing project specs to ensure timely delivery of VDC hours and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the VDC Piping team by assigning project work and executing project specifications
  • Keep projects on schedule, ensuring VDC hours are effectively managed
  • Develop and draw pipe models in Revit and coordinate with PM to develop VDC schedules
  • Lead training sessions for the piping team, ensure accurate models are meeting QA/QC standards, build and maintain a supportive team environment

Requirements:

  • AAS/BA in a related field or equivalent industry experience; certifications may be required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, integrity, and enthusiasm
  • Technical Proficiency in Piping
  • 7+ years in HVAC VDC
  • 7+ years in 3D modeling and coordination
  • Experience with Navisworks, Revit and Stratus
  • Familiarity with Trimble Connect and Vic Tools
  • Ability to manage complex projects and work collaboratively to create a results-driven environment
