- Ensure Safety Perimeter: Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers to ensure a safe working environment.
- Flag Traffic: Safely flag traffic when required to maintain a safe working environment.
- Understand Separation and Clearance Regulations: Understand and comply with separation and clearance regulations to ensure safe and efficient cable installation.
- Safely Work Aloft: Safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders to perform aerial cable installation procedures.
- Maintain Safe Working Habits: Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.
- Age and Authorization: Be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States for Kanaan Communications, LLC.
- DOT Physical Exam: Pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.
- Driver's License: Hold a valid standard Driver's License with a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Construction Experience: Have previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- Aerial Cable Installation Knowledge: Have knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques.
- Physical Demands: Be able to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck, work aloft, and climb poles up to 40 feet.
- Lifting and Carrying: Be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance.
- Work Schedule: Be able to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or on-call.
- Travel: Be able to travel when required.
