Aerial Lineman

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerial Lineman to join our team at Kanaan Communications, LLC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our services.

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable, including the placement of poles and anchors.
• Safely use hand tools and equipment, such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and mechanized equipment like bucket trucks, digger derricks, and excavators.
• Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and safety barriers.
• Flag traffic when required.
• Understand separation and clearance regulations.
• Safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States for Kanaan Communications, LLC.
• Pass a DOT physical exam and hold a valid medical card.
• Hold a valid standard Driver's License with a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Have previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
• Have knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques.
• Be able to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and aloft, up to 40 feet.
• Perform all duties in telecommunications construction, including pole transfers, maintenance builds, new builds, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction.
• Lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed, with or without assistance.
• Work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or on-call.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Travel when required.
• May have experience splicing active and passive equipment.
