Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to provide comprehensive social services to individuals and families in Queens, NY. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure the well-being of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to address mental health issues, substance abuse, trauma, and other psychosocial needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each client.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, educators, and community agencies to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Offer crisis intervention and develop strategies to help clients manage stressful life events.
  • Assist clients in accessing social services, housing, financial support, and other community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case documentation and adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • LCSW Requirements: Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program, current NY State licensure as an LCSW, and a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in clinical social work.
  • LMSW Requirements: Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program, current NY State licensure as an LMSW, and a strong interest in clinical social work, mental health, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and substance abuse treatment.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adults, families, and underserved communities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with other professionals.
  • Ability to manage a caseload, maintain detailed records, and handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
