Lead Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Transportation Team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for various facilities, including transit, industrial, and commercial structures. Your expertise in electrical engineering and design will be essential in meeting client objectives and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical engineering and design work for a range of facilities, including transit, industrial, and commercial structures.
- Prepare comprehensive design criteria documents, calculations, drawings, and specifications for various electrical systems.
- Travel to customer facilities to conduct surveys and represent the company in a professional manner.
- Evaluate existing facility electrical systems and provide independent, data-driven technical recommendations to management team and clients.
- Perform feasibility studies related to microgrid and Distributed Energy Resource (DER) implementations to support sustainability and resilience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for capital projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution at a utility, industrial, or commercial scale.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, or Microstation, as well as a strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
- Must demonstrate expertise in the application of the National Electrical Code.
- A broad range of experience, including facility surveys, reports, feasibility studies, design, specifications, cost estimating, construction support, and supervision of less experienced engineers, designers, and technicians.

Compensation
Expected Salary: $95,000.00- $169,290.00. WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
