Shorewood Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling, psychotherapy, hospitalization, and/or medication.
  • Provide clinical services to patients, including evaluating their mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years' postgraduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
  • Board certification in psychiatry.
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
