Job Overview

Position Title: Logistics and Warehouse Specialist

This role involves the efficient loading of transport vehicles, which may require the operation of various equipment such as forklifts, side loaders, or overhead cranes. The individual will be responsible for interpreting work orders, identifying parts, and ensuring their proper loading onto trucks.

Work Schedule: Standard Day Shift - Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 3:30 PM


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic and routine tasks under detailed guidance.
  • Manage the movement of inventory or equipment, fulfill customer orders, retrieve materials from storage, unload incoming shipments, and assist in maintaining warehouse organization.
  • Receive and accurately place items into designated stock locations.
  • Compile and prepare orders by reviewing shipping documents or other relevant paperwork.
  • Label materials for identification and complete necessary documentation.
  • Transport materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other specified locations using forklifts, side loaders, or cranes.
  • Operate yard trucks for loading and unloading purposes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
  • Sort and organize materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to established criteria such as size, type, or product code.
  • Conduct inventory checks and ensure proper tagging of materials as directed.
  • Report any discrepancies to the supervisor for further instructions.
  • Restock materials as needed.
  • Occasionally drive a non-DOT vehicle for local deliveries and parts collection.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
