Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN Case Manager to join our team at St. Peter's Health Partners. As a RN Case Manager, you will be responsible for scheduling work, training staff, auditing quality of staff work, and day-to-day operations of the work unit. You will implement systems and processes within the department, facilitate team development among staff, and recommend policy and procedure changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Encourage employee participation in unit meetings and provide positive and constructive performance feedback on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide appropriate orientation/training for employees and ensure competency of staff and address learning needs.
  • Review and submit timecards to manager timely and maintain employee attendance record.
  • Hire, fire, discipline, promote, and demote staff as needed.
  • Allocate and delegate work effectively and set priorities with realistically achievable goals.
  • Motivate and empower staff to achieve optimal results and ensure consistent and accurate application of policies and procedures.
  • Assess and monitor workflow to and from the coding team and any additional services.
  • Maintain productivity reports for employees and escalate to the manager any productivity-related problems.
  • Staff work area with appropriately qualified employees, ensuring that an adequate number of staff are scheduled for each shift.
  • Orient, train, and cross-train staff to enhance flexibility within the workforce.
  • Effectively assess and improve work unit's performance via quality audits and balance creativity and risk-taking with practicality and accountability for achieving quality outcomes.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate collection of data relative to QI indicators and recommend priorities in multidisciplinary problem-solving.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a case management or similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices.
