Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Receptionist to join our team at McLaren USA. As a Medical Assistant Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional patient care by performing or assisting in various medical procedures and tests
Greet patients, answer phone calls, and direct callers as appropriate
Perform duties across all physician practices, including patient registration, scheduling appointments, and collecting insurance co-pays and deductibles
Maintain accurate records of financial activity and accounts for all transactions completed on each shift

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience as a medical assistant
OR High school diploma or equivalent and completion of one of the following programs: medical assistant, emergency medical technician, nurse assistant, licensed practical nurse, or armed services medic program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire (for clinics with the Rural Health Designation)

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
Electronic medical record experience
One-year experience working in a medical office with multiple providers
Previous experience working in a medical office of the same specialty
