Position Overview

The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment at the pool area. This role involves ensuring the pool deck is washed, mopped, and free of hazards while promoting a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
  • Foster a fun and relaxing environment for guests by displaying a positive attitude.
  • Monitor activities within the recreational facility and respond to emergencies as per established protocols.
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations to ensure guest safety.
  • Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
  • Manage towels by obtaining, folding, and stacking them according to company standards.

Safety and Compliance

  • Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Adhere to company policies and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Guest Relations

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipating their needs.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation to guests.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues using professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Navigate uneven surfaces and stairs safely.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending and twisting.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: No prior experience required.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
  • Additional certifications as required by local and state regulations.
