Family Enrichment Center Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Enrichment Center Director to lead our Community Development efforts at Commonpoint Queens. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Family Enrichment Center, ensuring the smooth functioning and efficient delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation: Oversee the development and implementation of programs and services that support families and neighbors, with a focus on making connections, motivating, and inspiring them to achieve results.
- Team Management: Manage a team of Community Liaisons and Family Advocates, providing coaching and training to ensure they are experts in the protective factors.
- Community Engagement: Engage with community members through virtual and in-person meetings to identify those interested in participating in the Family Enrichment Center, and facilitate discussions on community needs, assets, and strengths to shape the center's vision and programs.
- Partnerships and Collaborations: Build partnerships with stakeholders from multiple sectors, including community members, public officials, and public and private organizations to motivate and inspire collaboration.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle inventory and ordering/purchasing responsibilities, complete documentation and data entry as required by the funder and agency, and maintain familiarity with all Commonpoint programs and services.
- Education and Experience: Masters Degree preferred with five (5) years of professional experience or Bachelors degree and seven (7) years of professional experience.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is a strongly preferred.
- Leadership and Management: Successful professional experience in a leadership position managing community organizing and/or community-driven programs.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Community Knowledge: Knowledgeable in local and city government assistance programs, and familiar with community frameworks such as equity, co-design, Appreciative Inquiry, and Family Protective Factors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Zoom is required, familiarity with Canva and Salesforce is preferred.
The Family Enrichment Center Director will work in a fast-paced, high-energy collaborative environment with multiple projects occurring simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a range of individuals from diverse backgrounds and circumstances, and possess a strong commitment to social justice principles.
