Certified Recovery Mentor

The Certified Recovery Mentor provides support and directs services to individuals from various programs, including Residential, Detox, and Outpatient. This role involves assisting clients through direct interactions, advocacy, and provision of transportation and referrals to community-based resources. The Certified Recovery Mentor will also facilitate classes, support groups, and group activities to ensure a healthy treatment milieu.

• Participates in recovery coaching through telephone contact, client transportation, and provision of recovery coaching during activities.
• Provides individual, couples, and family support, as well as attends program and staff meetings, and weekly supervision meetings.
• Assists in designing and implementing education, referral, and parent components of the program.
• Maintains case notes of client contact and completes attendance sheets, required report forms, and reports client participation to the Supervisor.
• Maintains a personal recovery program, if appropriate, and models recovery-appropriate behavior.

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Familiarity with the substance-abusing population and people with disabilities
• Current certification for Recovery Mentor issued by the State licensing body
