Position Summary:

Compensation: Pay range with certification - $18.25

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish barricades, cones, and signage to create a secure flagging environment for our partners.
  • Transport necessary equipment to and from designated work sites.
  • Maintain clear communication with dispatch, operations, and clients regarding equipment use and setup locations.
  • Ensure job sites and equipment are maintained to uphold the highest standards of quality.
  • Interpret and follow specific plans and instructions to meet client expectations.
  • Make necessary adjustments in the field to ensure safety for clients, municipalities, and the public.
  • Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel/composite toed boots, reflective vests, hard hats, eye protection, gloves, and any other necessary gear.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

In this role, you can expect to encounter:

  • Active traffic conditions on roadways.
  • Fast-paced equipment movement to establish work zones promptly.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions throughout the year.
  • High noise levels.
  • Pedestrian traffic.
  • Interactions with demanding clients and inspectors.
  • Continuous physical activity, including entering and exiting vehicles and climbing.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly and travel long distances within work zones.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills to address specific needs in the work zone.
  • Capability to read and understand instructions, plans, and maps related to work zone locations.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation are essential.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • ATSSA Flagger Certification is necessary.
  • No prior experience is required; training will be provided.
Additional Information:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report.
  • ATSSA Flagger Certification is essential.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Effective communication skills.
