Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced welder to join our team. As a welder at MHI Ship Repair & Services, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other materials using various welding techniques.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Analyze job requirements from start to finish to ensure proper and safe work methods are used.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded.
  • Apply appropriate welding techniques to join, fabricate, and repair metal and other materials.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure visual acceptance.
  • Notify supervisor of any safety or equipment issues.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five plus years of experience as a welder with abilities to qualify in all processes and materials.
  • TIG Welder certification required.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively and motivate others.
  • A steady and reliable worker.
