Salary

The estimated salary for this role ranges from $15 to $17 per hour, based on experience. Job Description

This exciting opportunity is available at our Oklahoma City, OK location. As a Veterinary Receptionist PT30, you will play a vital role in scheduling appointments, prioritizing tasks, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing excellent customer service. Your duties will include:

  • Receiving and placing calls to clients for scheduling purposes;
  • Prioritizing multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner;
  • Maintaining proper documentation through client and pet records;
  • Assisting clients by providing necessary instructions, information, and invoices;
  • Dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian's instructions;
  • Scheduling all future appointments;
  • Utilizing hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates;
  • Managing the financial needs of the hospital;
  • Demonstrating empathy toward clients and treating pets with compassion and respect;
  • Working independently on assigned tasks and accepting direction on given assignments;
  • Possessing organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures;
  • Experience with veterinary software is preferred;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays;
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
