Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of The International School of San Francisco. This position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, preparing financial reports, and providing primary support to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Operations: Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Internal Controls: Support the Controller in documenting and monitoring internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills.
