Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Aurora, CO. As a key member of our Payload and Ground Systems organization, you will be responsible for performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Maintain existing operations procedures up-to-date to include lessons learned from real-time performance, and develop new procedures as required.
  • Interface with program and customer personnel to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other STEM related degree with 14+ years of experience; 12 years with a Master's; 9 years with a PhD.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraph.
  • Experience with Interface Control Document development, JIRA, and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Strong written and oral communications skills, with the ability to mentor newer members of the operations team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with poly, detailed familiarity with space system operational documentation, and experience working on Agile programs and methodology.
  • Understanding and implementation of Model Based Systems Engineering, with a strong focus on innovation and technical excellence.
What We Offer

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $157,500 - $236,300, as well as a discretionary bonus and a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
