We are currently in search of a dynamic and driven Merchandiser Assistant to join our team in Syracuse, NY.

Key Responsibilities

The Merchandiser Assistant plays a crucial role in the management of promotional materials, samples, and will-calls. The primary duties include:

Management of Promotional Materials
  • Receive and organize all point-of-sale (POS) materials.
  • Sort and categorize POS items for efficient storage.
  • Ensure proper placement of POS materials within the warehouse.
  • Regularly update inventory records for all POS items.
  • Distribute POS materials to sales representatives and prepare for account deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the POS warehouse.
Sample and Will-call Management
  • Receive and verify samples and will-calls from the warehouse.
  • Secure all products in designated areas.
  • Distribute samples to sales personnel with appropriate documentation.
Merchandising Duties
  • Collaborate with merchandisers and management to set up promotional displays.
  • Monitor the POS system for pending display installations.
  • Document completed displays in the POS system promptly.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
General Duties
  • Receive and distribute incoming packages.
  • Assist in setting up and dismantling salesrooms for meetings.
  • Support the construction of custom display pieces.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a tidy workspace.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A willingness to learn; prior experience is not required.
  • Basic understanding of wine and spirits is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with various computer systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively both independently and in a team.
