Senior Technical Program Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team at Solomon Page. This is a unique opportunity to work with a top entertainment company in NYC, providing technical program management support to engineering teams and assisting with overall program coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical program management support to engineering teams and assist with overall program coordination.
  • Manage technical teams, serve in scrum ceremonies, and provide release support as needed.
  • Lead planning meetings, scrum ceremonies, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Work with product management and other project stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, define project scope and objectives, understand requirements, and effectively communicate requirements to engineering teams.
  • Establish processes to ensure success on high-priority business initiatives and improve efficiency.
  • Manage program reporting for engineering efforts.
  • Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate, and communicate project risks to internal and external partners.
  • Ensure Jira hygiene for all initiatives, including recording and tagging tickets to the appropriate business initiatives and releases.
  • Create and maintain Jira reports, dashboards, burndowns, and track velocity.
  • Demonstrate technical adeptness to understand and effectively converse in the User Foundations domain.
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to develop an understanding of their short-term and long-term goals and priorities.
  • Manage schedules and capacity planning to ensure the team can deliver within project scope and duration.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in the software industry
  • Experience working with technical scrum teams, software development lifecycle delivery, and release management, particularly with back-end services teams
  • Experience working with product and design stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and engage with engineering teams
  • Mastered industry-standard project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work with project stakeholders to define project scope and objectives
  • Ability to effectively communicate requirements to development teams
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and enthusiastically, particularly about technical systems and issues
