Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac PCU

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic Cardiac PCU environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Belmont, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cardiac PCU nursing and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
  • Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients
  • Monitor and report patient progress to the healthcare team
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Current MA RN license required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills required
  • Telemetry experience preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
  • Bachelor degree in nursing, preferred
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting
  • 1 year Med/Surg experience required, unless otherwise noted in job posting
  • Critical care experience preferred
Certifications and/or Registrations
  • CPR Training required within first 3 months of employment
  • Evidence of continued education and professional development
  • Certification or advanced training in specialty area preferred
  • Telemetry training required within the first year of employment
Physical Environment
  • The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation
  • Caring for patients also involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements
  • Other duties may include general cleaning with exposure to dirt, odors, cramped quarters, etc.
  • RN's may work with angry, agitated, and combative patients
