About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GI Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. As a key member of our endoscopy and GI procedures team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the endoscopy suite and GI procedure rooms
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
  • Provide patient care and support during procedures
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Surgical Technician Certification required
  • Current experience in OR or Ambulatory Surgery setting required
  • Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards
  • Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
  • Knowledge of septic and aseptic technique and be conscious of both at all times
  • Knowledge of care and safe handling of endoscopes
  • Demonstrate awareness of/sensitivity to patient/family rights and cultural/religious beliefs and age-specific needs
