About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Atrium Health Charlotte. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will operate CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency. This includes scanner, post-processing stations/programs, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport, and patient monitoring equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient.
  • Properly identify patients using two identifiers and assist them while offering a brief explanation of the procedure.
  • Prepare patients for the procedure by explaining it and documenting relevant information.
  • Interview patients to gather their medical history and review EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical information.
  • Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with a Radiologist if necessary.
Requirements

To be successful as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine, along with advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire.
  • CPR certification.
Work Environment

You will work in a dynamic environment that requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. You may be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the day, such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment.

Salary and Benefits

Our estimated salary range for this position is $62,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and health savings account.
