Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Express Employment Professionals in Gastonia, NC.
Key Responsibilities:- Routine Inspections and Repairs:
Perform routine inspections of facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify and address potential issues. Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce the risk of breakdowns and prolong the life of assets.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
Utilize technical skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or other technical problems. Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Repair and Maintenance Tasks:
Execute repairs on various systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components. Replace or upgrade faulty parts and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Equipment Calibration:
Calibrate and adjust machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Keep accurate records of calibration activities to meet industry standards and regulations.
- Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations, such as power outages or equipment failures. Implement corrective actions swiftly to minimize disruptions.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive measures. Create and update equipment manuals and documentation.
Requirements:
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Good communication skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
Education and Experience:
- Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Salary Information:
The estimated salary for this position is $22.50 per hour, based on industry standards and location.
