Key Responsibilities:- Develops, modifies, and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products.
- Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process, and contract requirements and objectives.
- Defines audit strategy to ensure compliance to systems/software processes.
- Designs, specifies, and conducts test methods for software inspection, verification, and validation.
- Evaluates and analyzes software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
- Performs software product reviews against contractual, technical, and/or process requirements.
- Reviews requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans, and procedures.
- Interfaces with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers.
- STEM degree at the bachelor level or above preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Experience with product development phases.
- Demonstrated basic understanding of audit techniques.
- Software Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design/Development, Product Integration, and Test.
- Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues.
- Ability to interpret software design and code (ADA/C/C++) to verify implementation of requirements.
- Test equipment hardware knowledge or background skills.
- Effective communication skills - written, oral, listening, presentation, technical writing.
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)
- Hands-on experience with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, SaFE, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems/Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001)
- Experience interfacing with Government customers and stakeholders
- Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 6 years.
