Job Title: Advanced Practice Professional - Urology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Professional to join our Urology team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive patient care and work closely with our surgical urology faculty to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage comprehensive and individualized care for surgical urology patients and their families in the inpatient and ambulatory settings.
  • Participate in peri-operative management of patients, including 1st assisting in the operative suite.
  • Order additional tests or consults as deemed appropriate, collaborating with surgical urology faculty or following established clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Perform and communicate results of diagnostic tests, and consult with clinic and hospital staff regarding abnormal findings.
  • Facilitate patient discharge and follow-up by coordinating appropriate services and tests prior to discharge.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive individualized plan of care for surgical urology patients, including teaching, discharge planning, and necessary referrals to other members of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
  • Department Specific: APRNs will need to be privileged as First Assists and are required to have RNFA certification.
  • BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Acute Care NPs or FNPs considered.
