Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed to diagnose and treat patients.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
- National Certification by a recognized APRN certification center.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and additional Advanced Life Support training as required.
- Two years of related clinical experience.
This position will be based in a standard outpatient clinical setting, with occasional exposure to communicable diseases.
