Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed to diagnose and treat patients.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
  • National Certification by a recognized APRN certification center.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and additional Advanced Life Support training as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of related clinical experience.
Work Environment

This position will be based in a standard outpatient clinical setting, with occasional exposure to communicable diseases.
